We had another very enjoyable day with 36 players (including 4 visitors) and we were delighted to see Tony Wyse who joined us for dinner.

Captain John White stood in for President Brian and expressed our thanks to Grange GC and also to our sponsors;  President Brian Mc Elroy, DNG Rathfarnham represented by our member Cathal Mc Carthy,  Past President Damien Byrne,  members Paul Byrne and Jim Gillespie plus many others who generously contributed prizes for the raffle which raised €1250. Thanks also expressed to Paddy Farrelly and Paddy Brady for their work with entries and scoring.

In closing John reminded us that the funds we raise for the School are very much appreciated and we need to double down on our efforts to grow the numbers attending our 2 annual golf days.

Finally he introduced our incoming Captain for 2025 Pat Walsh from the class of 1971. Pat was the last of 6 brothers who travelled from Kilternan down to Synger for their education. He made his career in G& T Crampton Ltd, the  Dublin building firm.

Both outings this year have been very enjoyable with thanks due to our Captain John White and our past Captain Pat Campbell who both worked hard to make the days a success.

With the raffle takings and a small surplus on the 2 golf outings we will be in position to present the school with €2500.

See you all in 2025.
